Course Expectations and Acknowledgement

Hello class, and welcome to Civil Discourse and the American Political Order. Below are helpful hints and class guidelines to assist you through this course. Please read the expectations and acknowledge that you read and understand them.  

• Please note that we are here to help you succeed; as such, you should ask questions when unsure.
• Due dates are clearly stated, and you are expected to complete your assignments as required. Not completing an assignment will result in a zero. If there are extenuating circumstances, please get in touch with us through messages beforehand. I understand that life happens, but late-night parties, hanging with friends, and "it is my birthday" are unacceptable reasons for extensions. 
• Late assignments are accepted with a 5% per day deduction. Annotations are not accepted late due to their relation to class discussions. 
• Be respectful! Everyone is entitled to their opinion and political or religious ideology.  
• Enjoy this class!!! Have fun, learn, ask questions, do the work, and you will succeed.
